US Standard Time Zones
The United States are splitted into six standard time zones.
Eleven states are located in two time zones.

The US island territories and the independent COFA[4] states areas
are located in seven additional standard time zones.

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is equivalent to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

[1] Daylight saving time (DST) begins each year on the second Sunday in March at 02:00 a.m. local time. Clocks must be moved ahead one hour when DST goes into effect. The changeover back to standard time (ST) occurs on the first Sunday in November at 02:00 a.m. local time. Clocks must be moved back one hour. Some people remember which way to move their clocks using the phrase, "spring forward, fall back".

[2] Arizona does not observe DST, except the Navajo Indian Nation in the Northeast.

[3] Aleutian Islands only; Hawaii does not observe DST.
